The Faculty of the Institute specialises in a variety of disciplines reflecting the team's multidisciplinary expertise. The faculty is the principal holder of responsibilities through its direct involvement in every aspect of the Institute: academics, research, publications, consultancy and academic administration.

The faculty members are active and regular participants in international conferences, workshops and seminars.  They also serve on various national/international committees and policy formulation for a variety of organisations in private and public domains. These include corporations, cooperative societies, national governmental organisations, state governments, academic institutions, national agencies and international agencies. Such active involvement generates valuable cross-fertilisation and sustains NILERD as a vibrant academic community.
